June Update

May and June have both been busy months. May started with lots of work with meditation therapists, producing background music and recording the meditations. We continued to work with Deborah Coote and her sister Susie Keene on separate projects. We also heard that one of our previous clients, Charli XCX has been signed up to Universal Records and we wish her all the best. Charli can be found online HERE.

April Update

Another month, doesn’t time fly!?
We are into the Wedding/Outdoor season which means that we have been busy with PA hire this month, starting with a wedding in Royston where we provided PA, turntables and lighting for the evening entertainment. We are also heavily into talks with a local enterprise about providing sound for a local outdoor festival in Saffron Walden in early summer. Check back for more news on that and for lineups etc.

Spring has sprung…

Phew! What a mental couple of months!
I didn’t get a chance to write anything during February at all as we have been so busy. February was filled with various work, including more visits to the studio from Eksel, who has been working on album material with Chris. We also had local gigs with the County High School, and Newport’s Oliver! and rounded the month off with sound reinforcement for a town planning meeting, drum recording for a local band and a meditation CD! A new year…

Happy new year to all and what a busy one it has been so far!
We had a great response to our Winter recording offer with London-based metal band “Cuter in the Dark” coming in, and staying in due to the heavy snow! The guys did a 3-track EP and went away smiling despite the cold. We also had local band “Crimson Shadow” in to record 5 tracks and saw a welcome return from “Something Happened in Tutorial”, although they now go by the name “The Croft”. Clients using new facilities..

We have been busy since the studio re-opened and have new clients on the way as well as some that are returning to us. Bridget Metcalfe and Paul Tage will be returning with their Producer to re-mix one of their tracks. Bridget is a busy musician on the soul scene and is squeezing time between her gigs and radio shows to come back to mix tracks with us! We will also be seeing a return from Father and Daughter duo Mike and Kate Hutchins who can be heard on our demos page.
We will also be recording a new artist Esther with her accompanist in the studio, and have been working with a Dubstep/Hip Hop producer Nathan to help him realise his musical vision. Last but not least this month we will be installing new sound systems at the Fennes which is only by the same people as Parklands in Quendon, where we installed systems a little while ago.

Live engineering and recording at Friends..

We have just completed a large gig at the Friends School in Saffron Walden. We were invited along to provide live sound reinforcement for their school concert which was held over two nights in March. We also made a multi-track recording of the concert including a full pit band, choir and stage mikes which was then edited and mixed down at the studio at a later date.
