Happy new year to all and what a busy one it has been so far!
We had a great response to our Winter recording offer with London-based metal band “Cuter in the Dark” coming in, and staying in due to the heavy snow! The guys did a 3-track EP and went away smiling despite the cold. We also had local band “Crimson Shadow” in to record 5 tracks and saw a welcome return from “Something Happened in Tutorial”, although they now go by the name “The Croft”. We have been busy since the studio re-opened and have new clients on the way as well as some that are returning to us. Bridget Metcalfe and Paul Tage will be returning with their Producer to re-mix one of their tracks. Bridget is a busy musician on the soul scene and is squeezing time between her gigs and radio shows to come back to mix tracks with us! We will also be seeing a return from Father and Daughter duo Mike and Kate Hutchins who can be heard on our demos page.
We will also be recording a new artist Esther with her accompanist in the studio, and have been working with a Dubstep/Hip Hop producer Nathan to help him realise his musical vision. Last but not least this month we will be installing new sound systems at the Fennes which is only by the same people as Parklands in Quendon, where we installed systems a little while ago.
After what seemed like an interminable amount of time (6 weeks!) Threecircles Audio has now officially reopened! We now boast a programming room with a 24″ iMac, Apogee Duet convertors and Logic Studio. We also have various synths and samplers for you to use. Check back soon for rates for the programing room. All building work on the studio has now officially finished!
Chris and Matt our two trusty builders for the past 6 weeks have done a fantastic job on the renovation and all that is left for us to do now is paint! We are still awaiting the carpets in the chillout room and for the second fix from the electrician which is happening tomorrow and then we will reopen properly. We now boast a lovely, spacious lounge area with fitted kitchen as well as a super new toilet facility that even comes with a vaulted ceiling! We have kept the new area as light as possible, with lots of natural light from the new windows and also the new reception area. Check back soon for new pictures…
The studio extension is coming on a treat. The whole area has been tacked out with plasterboard ready to be plastered and we have had an electrician in for a few evenings to sort out all the new supply. We have managed to link the two new rooms in to the existing control room via new patchbays so that we now have 4 inter-connected rooms. This is awesome news as it means we can now track a lot more of our sessions completely live! Read the rest of this entry »
Work started today on the next phase of the studio renovation. A team of builders started this morning by sealing the next-door barn and they will than put in the new flooring. We expect work to take roughly 4 weeks but are open in the meantime. We will soon be able to offer a brand new chillout room as well as kitchen/toilet facilities and a programming room/office.

Building work will commence at Threecircles Audio in a matter of weeks. We have employed a building firm to do major groundwork at the site and studio to add major improvements. Major drainage works will be carried out at the farm to enable us to add new kitchen and toilet facilities and we will also have a new lounge area and listening post with somewhere to kick back and relax! This will mean that we will also be increasing the size of the main live room due to the new space next door.
