Frequently asked questions

What should I bring to my recording session?

First and foremost you should bring any instruments that you want recorded.

We have various keyboards and synths as well as a tack piano, a Fender bass guitar and a Yamaha drumkit that you are welcome to use, however if you have specific cymbals, drums, effects pedals or amps etc that you want to use for your recording then you should definitely bring them with you.

You are more than welcome to use our Marshall Vintage Modern Valve amp in fact we encourage it! Please get in touch ahead of your session if you want to use our equipment so we can set it up before you arrive to make more of your time.

How many songs can I record in one session?

This depends on many different factors. The most important factors are how rehearsed you are and how you want to record; all at once or overdubbed. People also regularly underestimate how long it takes to mix and to burn CDs at the end of the session. This is something that is equally as important as the recording, yet something clients frequently don’t budget enough time for.

Generally for a solo artist singing to backing tracks, expect to record 6-8 track in a 4-hour session.

Bands can record anywhere between 1 and 10 songs a day depending on complexity and preferred recording method. Get in touch to discuss your individual requirements.

Please take time to read our studio preparation below for more information as to what you can expect and how you can help make the process run smoothly.

What forms of payments do you accept?

We accept payment via cash, cheques or PayPal. We apologise but we do not accept direct card payments at the studio, however you can use Paypal to pay with a card online. Extra charges may apply.

We do expect payment to be settled before any CDs or MP3s are handed out and may ask for up to 50% deposit for longer bookings.

My band and I had an absolutely amazing experience at Threecircles. It was our first time in a recording studio as a band and Adrian was patient and helpful meaning that we managed to record four tracks in a day that we are so happy with. I would highly recommend Threecircles to anyone!!
